1. Legal Basis
Federal Law No. 8 of 1980 including its amendments (UAE Labour Law) forms the primary legal basis with regard to the relation between employer and employee. The law has been under revision for several years. However, to date there are no indications as to which issues will be revised and when the new piece of legislation will be enacted.
